Context
The Government published its Travelling to School: An Action Plan in September 2003. This saw the Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF), the Department for Transport (DfT) and the Department of Health (DoH) working together for the first time “
to bring about a step change in home to school travel patterns to cut congestion and pollution, but also to allow many more pupils to take regular exercise”.Award
